The Corps of Cadets is Aggieland’s best known student organization. Since Texas A&M opened its doors in 1876, the Corps has been educating citizen soldiers who have served their state, nation and the world with distinction. Today, with more than 2,000 members, it is the nation's largest uniformed student organization outside the military academies.
The university continues fund raising to ensure the Corps’ future success, particularly endowed gifts to support Corps programs and scholarships for future generations of Aggies. Private support is crucial, given the huge demands placed on the state funds that traditionally funded many Corps programs in past years.
