Hosted by the McFerrin Center for Entrepreneurship, the first Aggie 100 Career Fair offered students a chance to network with the fastest-growing Aggie-owned and Aggie-led businesses in the world: the Aggie 100.

“Our Aggie 100 companies are growing at extraordinary rates and regularly reach out to the McFerrin Center in search of internship and job candidates,” said Shanna Spencer ’03, Aggie 100 program director. “The next logical step was to launch a career fair dedicated to connecting these successful Aggie companies to current students.”

In February, hundreds of Texas A&M University students from across majors networked with Aggie 100 businesses recruiting for internships and full-time positions in numerous industries. Fifty-four companies, including Moody Engineering Inc., the Signorelli Company and Opportune LLP, attended the event.

“Aggie 100 companies look and feel differently than many of the traditional corporations students find at career fairs,” said Blake Petty ’98, McFerrin Center executive director. “We’ve found that many students who engage with the McFerrin Center crave the unique experience of working with a nimble, entrepreneurial and fast-growing company. These are Aggie-led, innovative environments that offer Aggies opportunities to learn and flourish.”
