Global study scholarships allow students in our increasingly interdependent world to acquire firsthand understanding of different cultures. Students who have studied abroad gain an advantage in the business and academic worlds, and they enjoy unforgettable experiences.
Study abroad opportunities are available for all Texas A&M students, freshmen through Ph.D. candidates. Students can be in a large group or study in an individual program. Programs vary in length, from a year to a semester to summer to less than one month. Scholarships allow participation of students who may have otherwise considered international travel impossible.
A $25,000 gift sets up an endowment that provides enough income to fund a scholarship each year for years to come while simultaneously providing for the long-term growth of the endowment principal. Gifts to the Foundation are tax-deductible and may be made in the form of cash, securities, real estate or other property.
The Foundation has matching opportunities through the John Tom Campbell '45 Endowed Scholarship Program, which will provide matching funds in $25,000 increments for 54 study abroad scholarships. Twenty-two of the available matching scholarships were established as of June 1, 2017.
