For half a century, the Division of Student Affairs has shaped the Aggie experience. In 1973, Texas A&M University President Jack K. Williams laid the foundation for this division when he named Dr. John J. Koldus as the pioneering vice president of student services, beginning an era of growth.

Today, the division encompasses multiple departments dedicated to fostering student success, including the Career Center, Disability Resources, the Department of Recreational Sports and the Department of Student Activities. Explore how these departments craft tomorrow’s professionals and encourage learning, leadership, service and citizenship by taking our 12-question quiz to test your knowledge of the vibrant world of the Division of Student Affairs.

The Division of Student Affairs impacts students’ experiences in multiple ways, but one of the most influential is through student organizations. Thanks to the division’s Aggie Experience Fund, students can participate in organizations and activities regardless of their financial means, allowing them to develop leadership skills and find their place in the Aggie family.
