Spirit is published three times per year by the Texas A&M Foundation, which manages major gifts and endowments for the benefit of academic programs, scholarships and student activities at Texas A&M University.
Through compelling stories and photography, Spirit celebrates unique individuals, the joy of giving back and the Aggie can-do spirit from a perspective that spans the entire campus.
The summer 2019 cover feature reflects on Texas A&M’s 30-year anniversary of serving the public as a land-, sea- and space-grant institution. The issue also includes stories on Derek Spears ’91, an Emmy award-winning visual effects artist for his work on “Game of Thrones”; Mark Benden ’90 ’02 ’06, a Texas A&M ergonomics specialist; and programs including ENGR[x] and the Science Leadership Scholars.
