Supporting Their Passions
Wanda and Glenn Pittsford '72 (center) enjoy time with their family: (from left) grandson Cayden Yorek; daughter and son-in-law, Amy '97 and Clay Yorek; grandson Mason Yorek; granddaughter Mallory Miller; son-in-law and daughter, Todd '00 and Kelli Miller '00; and granddaugher Kennedy Miller.
After Wanda and Glenn’s lifetimes, their “give it twice” trust will come to life, providing annual payouts to their Aggie daughters, Amy Yorek ’97 and Kelli Miller ’00, who both earned a Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies at Texas A&M. At the end of the trust’s life, Wanda and Glenn have directed half of the trust remainder principal to fund an endowment for the College of Education and Human Development in honor of Amy and Kelli, who are both teachers.
“We consider it a ‘passing of the torch’ in a way—an Aggie family helping future Aggies learn and succeed and helping students who will teach Texans for the betterment of our state and nation,” Glenn said.
The remainder of the trust principal will go to Legacy Deo, formerly Lutheran Foundation of Texas, where Glenn previously served as executive director. “We have selected certain ministries and charities for those endowments to support within our church,” Glenn added.
