No university can thrive without the support of the surrounding community. And Bryan-College Station residents have been there all along, believing in Texas A&M University's mission and adjusting to all the unique aspects of living in a city filled with students along the way. Since 1982, Texas A&M has been saying “thank you” to this integral community in true Aggie fashion: The Big Event.

Join our host, Carson Seiber ’26, as he digs into the nation’s largest one-day, student-run service project with The Big Event's director, Reed McReynolds ’27. Together, they’ll explore how thousands of Aggies come together to complete yard work, house work and similar tasks for local residents while building on a long-standing relationship of gratitude and selflessness.

From behind-the-scenes planning to upholding its legacy, watch how Aggies give back to the Bryan-College Station community and put the core values into action on one special day each year.
